James Campbell again listed as a Leading Lawyer by The Legal 500

James M. Campbell has again been named to the elite “Leading Lawyers” list, the Legal 500 United States 2012 guide to outstanding lawyers nationwide, in the area of: Litigation – Product liability and mass tort defense: automotive/transport.

This list includes only 8 lawyers from across the country and 2012 will be the 3rd consecutive year that James Campbell has been included.

The Legal 500 Series, now in its 25th year, is widely acknowledged as the world’s largest legal referral guide. More than 250,000 corporate counsel have been surveyed and interviewed globally in the past 12 months. The Legal 500 is an independent guide, and firms and individuals are recommended purely on merit.

Those interviewed describe James Campbell as "one of the great trial attorneys practicing today," and of whom one client noted that "there is little if anything in a product liability suit that he has not encountered and about which he cannot provide sound legal counsel."

In addition to this ranking in the Legal 500, James Campbell is also recognized as a Legal Individual in Chambers USA for Nationwide Product Liability and Mass Torts and a Star Individual in Chambers USA for Nationwide Product Liability: Automobile.

James M. Campbell focuses his practice on civil litigation and the defense of catastrophic product liability, toxic tort, medical device, pharmaceutical and negligence matters throughout the United States. One of the firm’s principal trial attorneys, he is responsible for supervising and coordinating litigation for the firm throughout New England and other regions of the country. He has tried over 100 cases in 15 different states.

Mr. Campbell is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is Vice-Chair of the Technology Committee. He is a past president of the International Association of Defense Counsel. He was the director of the 33rd Annual IADC Trial Academy and served on the faculty of the 25th Annual IADC Trial Academy. Mr. Campbell is a Diplomate and Senior Life Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates, served on its national board of directors, and is a past president of the Massachusetts Chapter of ABOTA. He is currently on the Publications Board of the Defense Research Institute and has twice served on the DRI board of directors. Mr. Campbell served on the faculty of the ABA TIPS 2001 National Trial Academy and was the director of the 2003 Trial Academy. Mr. Campbell is also a former president of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association.
