Carcaise v. Cemex, Inc.
Injury during operation of strip mining equipment. A mammoth crane know as a “dragline” fell over a 60 foot cliff, injuring one of the operators. The Plaintiffs alleged negligence in pre-accident reconstruction of the dragline, and in maintenance of the shelves on which the drag line was operated.
