Cho v. Ford Motor Company
The plaintiff was a passenger in a 1998 Ford Explorer that was traveling on the Southern State Parkway in Hempstead New York. When a tire blew, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then spun and rolled. The plaintiff sustained cervical spine injuries and various fractures. At trial the plaintiff alleged product defects that included premature tire fatigue and tread separation, vehicle instability, poor crash worthiness and insufficient roof strength.
