McMullen v. Crown Equipment Corporation
Plaintiff’s leg was crushed while riding a fork lift. Plaintiff was riding on a walkie pallet truck inside a warehouse. When she misjudged a turn, her leg became pinned between a rack and the truck She alleged that the pallet jack had a defective braking system and that the truck should have stopped faster after she had pushed the reverse switch. The jury issued a verdict for the defense.
