Case Details

Walsh v. PACCAR, Inc.

While plaintiff was climbing over the fuel tank of his 1988 Kenworth truck, he stepped on a hose that was attached to the fuel tank via a metal coupling, causing a small pin hole to develop in the hose and hot radiator fluid to “spew” from the hole, resulting in severe burns to his leg. Plaintiff alleged that PACCAR should have warned him not to step on the hoses attached to the fuel tank, that the hoses should have been made out of steel and/or that PACCAR should have had a shield or covering over the hoses.
