Featured Case: Client Cleared in Motorcycle Weave-and-Wobble Death

When the plaintiff died allegedly as a result of the weave-and-wobble action of his motorcylce, Campbell Trial Lawyers worked with accident reconstructionists as well as experts in tire sizing and manufacturing to prove that the motorcycle was not in fact, prone to weave-and-wobble.

Carter v. American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

By using sophisticated techniques to determine harmonic vibrations within the metal, our experts were able to identify a metallurgical defect in the rim of the wheel brought about by modifications to the vehicle that had been made by the plaintiff.

During discovery, it came to light that the plaintiff had installed an oversize rear tire for cosmetic value. In order to accommodate this tire he also had to modify the swing arm on the rear frame. By doing so, the plaintiff had reduced the cycle’s ability to manoeuvre the rear tire.
