Hezghia v. Ford Motor Company
On August 27, 2004, plaintiff was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport Wagon on the Grand Central Parkway when the vehicle passed over a depressed storm drain causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck the center guardrail overturned numerous times crossed three lanes and landed on the right shoulder. The driver and his dog were ejected from the vehicle. The driver sustained serious injuries to his head and face. The plaintiff alleged defects involving the stability and handling of the vehicle the strength of the roof and the operation of the vehicle.
