State Farm v. Muncy Homes
A modular home burned to the ground and our client, State Farm, reimbursed the owners under a homeowners policy. In this insurance subrogation case, our client then sued the modular home manufacturer and its dealer, alleging that the electrical system malfunctioned and caused the fire. The dealer settled the case during the trial and became actively adverse to our client. The Campbell team convinced the jury that the house was not defective as designed or built, and that if the fire was electrical in origin the electrical work was performed after sale.
